Watch: The Whiddy Island Show
Jump on the small, 30 person ferry at Bantry pier and 15 minutes later you’ll discover Whiddy Island. You’ll be welcomed by Tim O’Leary – local publican, restauranteur, bike-rental salesman, tour guide, uncle of Tadhg Furlong and holiday home kingpin. Yes, he was also the ferryman on your way over. In June 2017, a boatful of Second Captaineers together with some mics, some mikasa gloves, some annuals and a Richie Sadlier, made the journey with thanks to Tim, for one of the most memorable live shows we’ve ever done.
If you were with us, we hope this footage brings back some lovely memories. If you weren’t, hopefully this will encourage you to come to one of our next shows. We think more of these island broadcasts might be a plan.
Starring Barry Murphy, Eoin, Murph, beautiful West Cork sunshine and of course Tim O’Leary, this is Second Captains Live on Whiddy.
