Episode 993: Humphries Convicted Of Child Sex Offences, US Murph On The World Series
Tom Humphries, the former Irish Times sports journalist, was today jailed for 2 and a half years for child sex offences. Órla Ryan of TheJournal.ie was in court and we get a brief description from her of the proceedings today.
Rarely shocked, but I am by the leniency of the Tom Humphries sentence considering what crimes he committed against a child.

We discuss the nature of character references, the damage done to David Walsh and Donal Óg Cusack’s standing in light of their letters of support regarding Humphries, and the damage letters like that do to the victim.
