Episode 1041: Irish Boxing Superstar Joe Ward, US Murph Survives, P-Diddy As NFL Owner, Going Garropo-loco
Joe Ward may not have been successful at the RTE Sports Person of the Year awards, but his achievements this year, and over the course of his amateur career, belong in the very highest echelons of Irish international sporting endeavour.
After 3 World Championship medals, 2 of them silver, 3 European Golds, not to mention gold medals in the World Juniors and World Youths, he joins us to talk about staying amateur, dealing with the captaincy of the Irish team, and not getting the coverage that his medal haul deserves.
We wish US Murph a happy Christmas, but despair for his basketball coaching abilities, and we also hear about P Diddy’s NFL ownership ambitions, Murph’s Mam and her ability to watch Man City all day, and we all go Garropo-loco.
The live rendition of The Fair View is dripping with A-list celebs, including Academy Award nominee Shane Horgan, narrator @knbrmurph, Ken as Diarmuid Connolly and Sergeant @saveciaranmurph on the tin whistlehttps://t.co/wJem0nW7ea pic.twitter.com/TbRNVZfqKR

Want to look as coquettish as @RichieSadlier? Then you'll need to do two things. 1. Look sideways in vaguely flirtatious manner; 2. Buy a Second Captains World Service t-shirt at https://t.co/uV27TWlCnC pic.twitter.com/Rvbicjsenp
