Episode 1075: Six Nations Preview, Ireland Rising, French Farce, England 10, Twitter Wars, Ozil Easy
It’s the biggest show in town for the next month and a half, so it’s time to look ahead to the 2018 Six Nations Championship – and this year Ireland are once again real contenders.
In fact, we face into an opening weekend game against France where we need to guard against an unfancied, disorganised team capable of a once-off emotional performance at their home ground, with a new coach, a new outhalf and a farcically bad set up off the field of play.
Shane Horgan, Gerry Thornley and Matt Williams are bullish about Irish chances, identify England’s main weakness, predict great things from Scotland (with a big “if”), and warn against the wounded Welsh.

Plus there’s Petr Cech’s apology, twitter’s new football transfer star, and an enthusiastic response to our new ‘Shame the Sponger’ slot.
Although mistakes are part of the game I always expect 100 % from myself and I’m not happy with the one I made today … back to work tomorrow !
