Simone Biles was the standout global star of the Rio Olympics in 2016, and she continued her astonishing dominance when she won a fourth straight World Championship all-around title in Doha last week.

She’s also been the strongest voice in the sport during the last 18 months of trauma in US Gymnastics, as they have failed miserably to deal with the fall-out from the Larry Nassar sexual abuse scandal.

We’re joined by author, Slate writer, and former gymnast, Rebecca Schuman to tell us about how Biles has changed the sport, changed body image in gymnastics, faced down casual racism, and is re-writing the history books.

Plus there’s kidney stones, radio McDevitt, “The Murph”, we have an uplifting story of an elite 43-year old gymnast, and book club news.
