Episode 1603: GAA Vote For Two Tiers, Oisin McConville = Mr October, Ken On Arsenal And Jamie Carragher’s Apology to Patrice Evra, Return of the PBESO
The GAA have been talking about introducing a tiered competition in their All-Ireland football championship for years now. So why does it feel like the decision – made last Saturday at a Special Congress – to finally introduce it, was a rush job?
We speak to Oisin McConville and Sligo footballer Neil Ewing about why the idea might have merit, but the method of bringing it in highlights huge structural problems in the GAA (23.20).
Ken has a problem with Unai Emery’s impeccable manners, and Jamie Carragher’s apology to Patrice Evra for wearing a t-shirt supporting Luis Suarez – after he was banned for racial abuse – brings that rather crazy time back under the spotlight (20.00).
Ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has apologised to Patrice Evra for wearing T-shirts in support of Luis Suarez after the Uruguayan racially abused the Frenchman in 2011.
