Episode 2017: Poem For JT, Lynne’s Big Build In South Africa, Ire V Fra, Zebo Returns
After destroying Wales in the opening game of the Six Nations, the Ireland women’s team take on a different level of opponent in France this weekend.
Today we talk to former Grand Slam winner, RWC semi finalist and all-time Irish rugby legend Lynne Cantwell about her new job as South African rugby’s first ever high performance manager for the women’s game.
We talk to Lynne about the enormous task she has ahead of her, why she was drawn to the role, why the culture in women’s rugby in South Africa is so different to the men’s, and where Irish rugby should go next on and off the field.
A listener writes a motivational poem for John Terry and we finally show some love for Brendan Rodgers.
Plus there’s the return of Zebo, Frances Murphy’s prayers, and Robbie Fowler’s pain.
