Episode 2170: King Henry’s New Rivalry With Cody, Are Irish Women’s Team Moving In The Right Direction, Eoin’s Marathon Excuses
King Henry Shefflin was this week announced as Galway manager and his loyal subject Ciaran Murphy is relieved it’s not Davy Fitz and explains why there are many reasons to be excited about Shefflin’s potential including his (short) CV, his hunger, his rivalry with Cody and the focus he showed to become the player he became.
Sweden are the second best team in the world, so not many people were holding out hope of a positive result in our first world cup qualifier in Tallaght Stadium last night, but a 1-0 loss for Vera Pauw’s team, with the sort of performance she says ‘will be enough to get us to a World Cup’, offered plenty to be upbeat about.
FINAL: ?? 0-1 ??
I think if you asked anyone would they take a 1-0 defeat the answer would have been YES but it is so painful considering the goal that we did let in.
However, probably the most positive Ireland performance we’ve seen #IRESWE
