Episode 2218: The Premier League Stumbles On, Mediocre Munster, Jack Carty For Ireland
Yesterday it seemed like the Premier League might opt to postpone a round of post-Stephen’s Day games in order to try and deal with the huge number of Covid cases among players. In the end the league decided the show must go on, although the introduction of a two-tier system of rules for vaccinated and unvaccinated players is seemingly on the cards.
PL statement on season continuing and adaptation of postponement rules includes this:
“The League also confirmed to its clubs today that 92% of players and club staff have received one, two or three COVID-19 vaccination doses, with 84% of players on the vaccination journey”
