Shortly after we released our chat with Mitchell S. Jackson yesterday about the death of Ahmaud Arbery and why simply being a black man out for a run made him a target, the tragic news broke that a 22-year-old primary school teacher, Ashling Murphy, was murdered while out jogging in broad daylight in Tullamore yesterday afternoon. We reflect on Ashling’s death and the fact that for so many women, the act of just going for a run can stoke so much discomfort and fear.
