Want to work with Second Captains?

Hi everyone,

We’re looking for production staff of varying levels of experience to work across different projects for our production company in Dublin. Your roles will include production work on our RTÉ Radio 1 show, The Second Captains Podcast, longer term international projects with the BBC (and other external broadcasters we work with), The Player’s Chair with Richie Sadlier and live events.

We want hard-working, creative journalists who are familiar with the editorial tone of Second Captains. We are seeking applications from experienced journalists and production staff and also from ambitious young graduates who have some journalism or production experience.

Basic responsibilities will include generating stories, pitching ideas and writing briefs and we’re looking for smart minds to help us across all our programming, not just in sport. So, a strong knowledge of sport is a benefit but not a necessity. We will expect you to have an understanding of the media landscape across all platforms, particularly podcasting, in Ireland and abroad. There are also on-air opportunities.
