Episode 2386: Murph & Mal On Adam Sandler’s Hustle, The Late, Great James Caan And The Strange World Of Rollerball
It’s been a while since Murph and Malachy Clerkin talked movies, but they’re back today to chat about Hustle, the Adam Sandler basketball movie currently on Netflix that features a galaxy of NBA stars, and some of the best sports action you’ll see anywhere in Hollywood.
Sandler is a burnt-out NBA scout who travels to Spain and finds a hustler with talent, guts and a suspect temperament, played by 6-season NBA veteran Juancho Hernangomez.
With the sad death of James Caan last week, we also discuss Rollerball, his quite frankly daft 1975 contribution to the thinly-populated science fiction sports genre.
And there’s a Frances Murphy’s TV guide as well to round out your week.
