Episode 2501: Africa is Alive, Bruno’s Duo, Brazil Plough On
To those of you who sat through quite a few uninspiring early kick-offs during this World Cup, today was glorious recompense for your patience.
Others, including our intrepid football reporter, gave up hope, but Eoin and Murph couldn’t decide which game was better – Cameroon’s 3-3 draw with Serbia, or Ghana’s 3-2 win over South Korea. BBC African football correspondent Oluwashina Okeleji tells us why all of Africa were perked up by today’s results.
Plus there’s Brazil outlasting Switzerland – and Ken was on hand to witness Bruno Fernandes scoring twice to book Portugal’s place in the last 16. Next up? Ghana against Uruguay, and revenge for 2010.
And we discuss the pitch invader who ran on during Portugal v Uruguay to protest Pride, Ukraine and Iran.
