Episode 2780: Conor Ryan’s Comeback, Slippy Night In Shkodër, Gatland Drops Drico Redux
Conor Ryan won an All Star and an All Ireland medal in his debut season with the Clare hurlers, earning a Man of the Match display in the drawn final vs Cork. He followed that up with a double for his club Cratloe in the Clare SFC and SHC the following season. Unfortunately Conor’s time at the top would be cut short due to a medical condition that forced him to step away from playing in 2017.
That was until he made a grand return to the field this year, playing his part in Cratloe’s county final win in October alongside his brother Diarmuid. Conor joins us to talk about his experience of having to step away and develop a life and identity away from GAA and what lessons he was able to bring back to those he plays with.
Plus, there’s Warren Gatland’s latest slight on Drico and reaction to Ireland’s slog in Albania last night.
