Episode 2799: FAI’s Lengthy To-Do List, Awards Season For Murph, Leinster V Munster, Top 10’s, Drugs In Rugby
Now that the FAI have, as expected, parted ways with Stephen Kenny, Ken takes a look at their lengthy to-do list in the men’s and women’s games.
Murph was on the shortlist for the An Post Irish Book Of The Year Awards, held last night, and the big man brought home the prize…. of a tote bag.
In the wake of last season’s URC win for Munster, the Leinster – Munster rivalry has a new appeal and tone to it, and the fans are voting with their credit cards as the Aviva approaches a sellout for Saturday’s game. We chat to Shane Horgan and Gerry Thornley about the game, the end of Peter O’Mahony’s captaincy with Munster and maybe the start of his captaincy with Ireland, the battle to be Ireland’s next outhalf, Leinster’s doubts, and Munster’s hopes.
And with Aphiwe Dyantyi back from a 4 year drugs ban for the Sharks of Durban, we discuss South African rugby’s issues with performance-enhancing drugs, and whether Dyantyi should be welcomed back with open arms.
