Joey Barton cares so deeply about men’s football maintaining its high standards of journalism that he’s taken to social media to question some apparent errors (?) made by female commentators. Ken takes a look at Barton’s appearance on Piers Morgan’s TV show, and sees a hole or two in Barton’s “women shouldn’t analyse men’s football” thesis.

 

 

Ange-ball is failing, Pep is getting outplayed by Unai Emery, while Everton are devouring their points deduction – and all the while the nation’s boyfriend, Eoin McDevitt, is covering it on TV. We just can’t get enough of the Premier League at the moment.

 

 

And we preview the Champions Cup with Stuart Barnes and Shane Horgan. It has a brand new format that requires 48 pool matches to eliminate just eight teams, and starts with Leinster’s trip to La Rochelle, Munster at home to Bayonne, Ulster away to Bath and Connacht at home to Bordeaux.
