Episode 2823: Jurgen Does A Pep, Super League Ruling
The EU Court of Justice today issued their ruling on the long-running European Super League case. “The FIFA and UEFA rules making any new interclub football project subject to their approval, such as the Super League, and prohibiting players from playing in those competitions, are unlawful,” the court stated. They also said that FIFA and UEFA are ‘abusing a dominant position’.
We look at some of the initial reactions. Miguel Delaney joins us to give his take on the ECJ verdict. Is this really as big a win for the Super League / Real Madrid / the forces of freedom and justice as Florentino Perez is saying it is?
