Bill Walton, who died on Monday aged 71 at his home in California, was an NBA and broadcasting legend, who lived an incredible life on and off the court.

He was a star college player with Brian Murphy’s alma mater UCLA, he won NBA titles with the Portland Trailblazers and the Larry Bird Boston Celtics team, he went on to become a brilliant commentator on the game who would, mid play, expound on nature, peace and love, the environment, the war on drugs, and the meaning of life.

He was also arrested for protesting the Vietnam War, was the world’s biggest Grateful Dead fan and even met our own US Murph a few times, who joins us today to discuss the life of one of America’s good guys.

There’s also tall people at concerts, the GAA Garryowen and Frances’ TV guide.
