Argentina won the Copa America for the second time in a row, with a World Cup win sandwiched between, making for a feast of international trophies for Messi late in his career.

But the Copa will mainly be remembered for his injury, a security shambles pre-match, a racism controversy post-match, a semi-final ending with players going into the stands to fight with supporters, concerns raised about everything from the state of the pitches to the lack of public transport, and a manager questioning the future of the entire game. We chat to Marcela Mora Y Araujo about the events and the fallout.

Meanwhile, in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar, Damien Duff’s Shelbourne progressed past local side St.Josephs, while their fans did their best to create a diplomatic incident by questioning whether or not The Rock should be back in Spanish hands.
