It is a title run-in for the ages in the League of Ireland this season, and it took another massive turn last night, when Bossman Steo’s Saint Patrick’s Athletic went to Tolka Park and beat Damien Duff’s table-toppers Shelbourne 3-2 in an instant classic that involved drama on the pitch, on the sidelines and in the stands.

Pat’s had been brilliant but Shels levelled out of nowhere with two absolute worldies, before an 89th minute winner, almost 10 minutes of injury-time, and a red card brought proceedings to a chaotic end.
