Any GAA fan who came to our live show in the Liberty Hall last Saturday night will have left pretty happy with their evening’s entertainment – we had Armagh’s Rian O’Neill, his publicity-shy uncle Oisin McConville, and recently-retired Dublin GAA great Brian Fenton all up on stage together for a Gaelic football masterclass.

We talked to Rian about his golden season, going from 4 penalty shoot-out losses in under 2 years to closing out a 1-point All-Ireland final win, and growing up with a legend for a godfather.

And when Brian Fenton joined the lads on stage, we asked him ‘why now’, if there’s any chance of a return, and the big question on everyone’s lips – has Duffer been in touch about a season with Shels next year? And Oisin even offers him an alternative role in next year’s Leinster championship.
