Eoin chats to Sharlene about how difficult it was for her to even accept she’d made the Irish team for last summer’s Olympics having missed out on the Tokyo Games, the surreal nature of heading to Paris off the back of winning gold and silver relay medals at the European championships, and how much harder it was to accept coming fourth in the women’s 4x400m relay final in Paris, having never thought coming so close to a podium place was a possibility.

She also tells Eoin about moving to London to train alongside Laviai Nielsen, part of the GB relay team who pipped Ireland to the bronze, and how she’s aiming to bring the confidence she has in her relay abilities to the individual event.

Having missed ALL FOUR Carabao Cup semi-finals questions are being asked over Thomas Tuchel’s commitment to the English cause as he prioritises time with his children over mid-week games while Branno remembers a teenage encounter with Eoin’s new TV colleague.
