Ken was at Heimir’s press conference yesterday in which Heimir opened his files, apologised (again) for any offence caused to the Duff/Bradley axis and brought a feeling of calm to our soccer correspondent.

The GAA community mostly agreed that football was boring to watch and needed to be fixed. Now that they’re making some headway there, Jarlath Burns has turned his attention to hurling. There is now a Hurling Development Committee, and a key member of that is Willie Maher, the new National Head of Hurling. Murph and Jamie Wall headed off to Croker this week to chat to Willie about why he took on this role, the size of the task ahead of him, how to grow the sport in non-traditional areas and if they can do it in Dalkey, surely they can do it anywhere!
