Episode 3200: Rory’s Run, Ireland Regress, Farrell’s Lions, Good Ship Vasa, The Moose Bellows
Today’s show contains all the meats of the podcast stew – Rory’s red hot form, Irish rugby in pain, the Lions picture, and the good ship Vasa on tv – but first its Murph and Branno on Moose watch.
Ireland made just three line breaks against a previously porous Italy and for the 7th time in this tournament, were held up over the line. Throw in some crazy option taking in attack, one-out runners going nowhere, some bad reads in defence, missed tackles, shanked kicks at goal, and low energy vibes, and all in all you have yourself a worrying end to the championship.

We chat to Chris Jones of the BBC and Gerry Thornley of The Irish Times about Ireland’s mental regression, the age of the squad, the ongoing issues at 10, some players falling out of the Lions picture, Farrell’s absence, and whether we can blame it all on a South African double world cup winning coach who has won almost every game this season with Leinster!
