Episode 1761: Maradona Breaking English Hearts, Terry Fenwick On The Hand Of God And Trying To Stop The Man Himself
Today we look back on the 1986 World Cup quarter-final between England and Argentina, the match in which Diego Maradona scored two of the most famous goals in World Cup history in four second-half minutes.

Terry Fenwick was the first Englishman on the planet to realise that Maradona had scored the first goal with his hand, and he was the man defending the edge of the box as Maradona ran through for the second.
We talk to Terry about his memories of the day, what England knew in advance about the great Maradona, how he thinks the English could have won with one crucial tactical tweak, and his theory on why England have struggled for success on the international stage ever since that goal-line decision went in their favour in the 1966 final.
Plus there’s ‘the little fella who’s only got one foot’, Tory team-talks and young Eoin once again asks the hard questions of a football legend.
