This week the superstar Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes signed a 10-year contract worth about half a billion dollars, the most lucrative deal in sports history. It also has an injury guarantee, so Mahomes gets big money even if he gets badly injured, but McDevitt thinks there’s one sports deal that’s even sweeter than Mahomes’.
Sport is taking a big hit in America, but the NBA is due to return later this month, with all games taking place in Florida, the hotbed for Covid 19 cases in the US. We chat to Brian Murphy, who for once, is struggling to see the bright side of life in America.
