The 100th anniversary of the events of Bloody Sunday comes up next month, and today we speak to author Michael Foley, as a revised and updated edition of his magnificent book “The Bloodied Field” is released.

When Michael wrote the book in 2014, he perhaps had little idea of the extent to which this story would follow him around for years. Now with a new edition of the book, a podcast series, and a TV documentary upcoming, we talk to him about how this story affected him personally, how it’s followed him around and continues to surprise him to this day, and why our understanding of the tragedy has existed too narrowly in our minds for far too long.

There’s also Dundalk’s night out at the Emirates last night, and perhaps the craziest Frances Murphy’s TV Guide of them all.
