Episode 2048: Mickelson Takes Another Major At The Grand Old Age of 50, Luis Enrique’s Betrayal Of Madridismo
With there only being four golf majors a year, it’s always a kick in the teeth when they let you down. This weekend’s PGA Championship, it’s fair to say, did no such thing. We chat to US Murph at an ungodly hour across the pond about Phil Mickelson’s amazing win and where it stands in his personal pantheon.
And just when we thought Stephen Kenny’s squad announcement for the Republic of Ireland’s upcoming friendlies against Andorra and Hungary was going to be the headline-grabber in the world of international football today, Luis Enrique went and left Sergio Ramos out of his Spain squad for Euro 2020. Ken unpicks this betrayal of Madridismo.
Ramos has played 61 minutes in the Spanish league since 14 January.
He came back for the CL game and looked well off it.
Don’t see why it’s so controversial to leave him, other than the media-industrial complex around him and Real Madrid.

We’re joined by @RorySmith and @jonawils to chat about the end of the Premier League season, whether Liverpool are right to leave Wijnaldum go, and whether Harry Kane and Man City could just be a match https://t.co/wa7wjFgSb2 pic.twitter.com/zuXYjXMUy5
