Episode 2128: McConville And Flynn On Tyrone’s Triumph, Kerry’s Catastrophe, Gold For Dunlevy And McCrystal, FAI Pay Parity, LMFM Apology
So… who had a Mayo/Tyrone final at the start of this year? Not many would have predicted an All-Ireland without either Kerry or Dublin in it, so to have both of the pre-season favourites beaten at the semi-final stage is some much needed unpredictability in a championship that looked all too routine in previous years.
Oisin McConville and Paul Flynn have been brilliant all summer at marking the changing hierarchies, and Saturday was tailor-made for Tyrone, who had all the guile, all the patience and all the doggedness to pip a Kerry team that didn’t always play to it’s strengths.
There was gold in Tokyo again this morning, we also remind you about what the Irish women’s soccer team had to put up with in the past as they celebrate pay parity with their male counterparts and Eoin makes a heartfelt apology to Meath people, Louth people, LMFM and the whole north east.
