Late Night Show On Ireland v Wales Tonight
The beauty of the Second Captains World Service is that it allows us to deliver the type of shows you want, when you want. So, due to popular demand, this Friday night we’re broadcasting a post-match special straight after the final whistle of the Ireland v Wales World Cup Qualifier.

Eoin, Ken and Murph will run around the corner from Lansdowne Rd to Second Captains HQ to ensure our members have the best post-match analysis possible. Commenting on this innovative move, bonkers SC gags-monkey Ciaran Murphy said: “I plan my egress from Lansdowne Road to begin promptly on the final whistle. I will allow Eoin to walk down the steps of the stadium on his own, but as anyone who has walked alongside pint-sized little urchins will know, that can get tiresome pretty quickly for fully grown adults, so I will scoop li’l Eoin up in my big strong arms, put him up on my shoulders, buy him a vuvuzela to keep him entertained, and we should be back in the office, approx 11.5 mins after the final whistle.”
Ken Early confirmed a narrowboat will be docked near Mount St bridge with enough room to carry not only the flame-haired flame-thrower of truth but “Dion Fanning, Miguel Delaney and even John Brewin if he’s over”.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE: World Service members can also enjoy an early-morn qualifier breakfast pod where we welcome football analyst par-excellence Richard Sadlier into our studios at sunrise on Friday morning to preview the game.
The ONLY big match preview worth listening to (except for the Panel tonight. Obvs) ?? #COYBIG https://t.co/Ofakh2pcw3
