Episode 2723: Big Calls, Big Balls & El Lobo de Wall Street
It’s a testosterone soaked Friday football show. This one will put hairs on your chest. First, thanks are due to Mike Dean for going on Simon Jordan’s podcast and giving us all a chance to clamber into the mind of the top-level referee and gaze wonderingly around at the marvels within.
Then we go to Spain to talk to Brendan Boyle about today’s astonishing Luis Rubiales press conference.
The president of the Spanish FA had been expected to resign, after a week in which he had been pilloried for his behaviour during the celebrations of Spain’s victory in the Women’s World Cup.
Instead, he stunned the country by announcing he was going nowhere – and immediately went on the attack.
