Episode 2791: Nienaber’s Knockout Nous, Munster’s New Wave, “Youghal” Talk, St Pats Salt
South Africa win more tight games than any other rugby team in the world, club or country. Leinster, meanwhile, have destroyed a lot of teams, but have also lost a lot of tight games over the past few seasons. So South Africa’s head coach, Jacques Nienaber, might just be the province’s ideal appointment.
We talk to Hall of Famer Shane Horgan about lapping aul lads, Leinster’s Sexton/Lancaster free season, and why Ulster’s crop of young backs are not yet fulfilling their potential.
The42’s Murray Kinsella was in Belfast to see Ulster come from behind to beat Munster – we chat to him about Munster’s potential, their Snyman/Kleyn dilemma, Robert Baloucoune’s desire to be more involved, Connacht’s good start to the season and how he thinks Nienaber will fare at Leinster.
Plus there’s Youghal talk, carrot chat and St Pats salt.
