Episode 2900: O’Shea Backs O’Shea, Dublin Derry Derby, Captaen Rice
Ireland centre-back Dara O’Shea was out in front of the media yesterday, fielding questions on interim head coach John O’Shea. He had a number of options – he could say he’s just a player, his job is to play. He could offer some milquetoast remarks about the new coaching set-up. Or he could tell us what he really thinks. He went with Option C – and Ken is now convinced he and the players want his namesake to get the job full-time.
We talk to our dynamic GAA punditry duo Michael Murphy and Paul Flynn about the league finals next weekend, the increasingly hectic Gaelic football season, and why Derry might just be Michael’s pick to win the All-Ireland this year.
Plus there’s Pedants Corner, the England captaincy for Declan Rice… and revenge is a dish best served Alpine-glacier cold for Brian Kerr tonight.
