Jamie Vardy might be 37 years old, spent a year in the championship and barely trained during pre-season. Still, last night he swigged Red Bull, taunted fans, sassed opponents, terrorised the Tottenham defence, grabbed an equaliser and in the process extended his lead over Shearer and Wright in the over 30 years old Premier League all-time goalscorer’s record books. This makes him, Ken believes, “the” legend of the Premier League.

The US Open kicks off in New York this week off the back of an Olympics campaign that saw Novak Djokovic steal back the best in the world status he seemed to have allowed Carlos Alcaraz wrestle off him just weeks before in Wimbledon. Conor Niland is in studio to chat to us about playing Djokovic himself at Flushing Meadows, Novak’s secret breathe sauce, a SWOT analysis of men’s tennis’ current superstars, and when you know your opponent is lying but can’t prove it.
