Katie McCabe is the youngest player ever to captain the Republic of Ireland, got us to our first women’s World Cup, is a League Champion with Arsenal, a former Player of the Year with Arsenal, was nominated for the Ballon d’Or, and is one of the stars of a team that now sells out the Emirates Stadium for league and Champions League games. In other words, she is one of the greats of modern Irish sport.

We were thrilled to have her at our live show in London last week to talk about those tough early days after moving to London, how her family (all eleven of them) shaped her personality and helped her career, what its like dealing with the pressure of dragging Irish women’s football and the FAI to the next level, and why is it that she only scores bangers?

The Champions League League Phase (that’s honestly what they’re calling it) starts tonight, and Ken says the jury isn’t even out – the jury are just taking their seats.  But there’s a midweek Frances Murphy’s TV Guide to help steer you through this brave new world.
