Episode 3064: The Problem With Vince McMahon, Succession In Spandex, America Is Wrestling, Rovers’ Equaliser Cash
Netflix’s six-part documentary series on Vince McMahon and the WWE is disturbing, flawed, inconclusive, but fascinating.
Mr. McMahon, chronicling the rise and fall of WWE’s controversial founder, premieres September 25.

Mr McMahon charts WWE’s evolution from regional wrestling operation to multi-billion dollar corporate behemoth and crusher of all competition, and all under one man’s stewardship. But McMahon’s tenure, which recently ended after decades at the helm, has been problematic, to put it lightly. We’re joined on the show by the author of the New York Times bestseller Ringmaster: Vince McMahon And The Unmaking Of America Josephine Riesman.
As well as Netflix having a five billion dollar relationship with the WWE, many of the featured interviews were filmed before allegations around hush money payments and sexual misconduct emerged in the last two years. But, is it still worth watching? Absolutely.
We also discuss the Montreal Screwjob, selling American back to itself, and Succession In Spandex.
Plus there’s Rovers’ 133,000 Euro equaliser and Harry saves Man United, kind of.
