Episode 3079: Watch Out Arteta’s About, Eddie Dunbar In Studio, Roche’s Reputation, Pep’s Treble Fuel, Branno Beyond The Pale
Since we last spoke to Eddie Dunbar, in June of 2023, he’s become a Grand Tour stage winner, picking up two wins at the 2024 Vuelta a España.
We talk to Eddie in studio about the many injuries and setbacks he has suffered in the last year, how he overcame those to find his form and get those stage wins, and his friendship with one of the greatest riders of all time, Tadej Poga?ar.
Ken reports on the latest crazy Mikel Arteta pranks to come to light, and where Pep found his “treble fuel”.
We discuss the fascinating, confusing and sad interview with Stephen Roche in last weekend’s Irish Times, a brilliant piece which covered everything from Roche’s business failures, to family issues to coping with being a former star sportsman.
And Branno salutes those areas beyond the Pale who stood alongside the capital during the 1916 Easter Rising.
