Shane O’Donnell is the 2024 Hurler of the Year. He also won the All-Ireland title with Clare, and the National Hurling League this year. But that only scratches the surface of the most interesting man in Gaelic games right now.

Earlier this month, we spoke to him at the Gaiety about winning a second All-Ireland 11 years after he won his first title as a teenager, exploding fingers, and what he needs to do in the next 10 years to fulfil his long-held ambition – to become an astronaut.

We also discuss the Road to Plovdiv, why Bulgaria is a pretty good draw for us, and Pep signs on for another 2 years, not that he seems that excited by the prospect.
