The Donegal juggernaut looked to be travelling serenely through 2017 as a solid league campaign was backed up with a convincing Ulster quarter-final win over Antrim. But the wheels fell off the wagon in their crushing Ulster semi-final defeat to Tyrone last month, and they came perilously close to being dumped out of the championship altogether by Longford last Saturday night.
Eamon McGee, All-Ireland winner in 2012, tells us just how worried he was last weekend, why the older heads, including his own brother, need to step it up big time this weekend against Meath, and what he makes of Jim McGuinness’ move to China.
