Kilkenny were knocked out of this year’s All-Ireland hurling championship on July 8th, the earliest they’ve ever been out of the running for the Liam McCarthy Cup under Brian Cody.

Today we welcome into studio the 2014 Hurler of the Year, one of the most gifted players of his generation, and one of Kilkenny’s key men for almost 10 years, Richie Hogan…. and ask him what he’s been doing with all his free time.

It was a tough year for him personally, and for the team, but he tells us about leaving teaching behind, why hurling is what he’ll be remembered for, and he gently reminds us that similar things were being written and said in 2013, and Kilkenny won the next two All-Irelands.

On top of that we have a ticket update ahead of our Cadbury live show next week, we say farewell to the Mooch, and we analyse the great female stars of the screen in the 1970s.
