Episode 931: Waterford Back In The All-Ireland Final, Crazy Red Cards, Farah Fires Back
Historically it’s been a case of ‘resistible force meets movable object’ but this year’s All-Ireland hurling final pairing of Galway and Waterford gives ample room to dream for two support-bases starved of success.
Michael Duignan and Eoin Kelly talk us through yesterday’s semi-final, which saw Waterford defy the doubters and beat Cork, scoring a barely believable 4-19 in the process.

The win looks like it will come at a cost however, with Conor Gleeson and Austin Gleeson both in danger of missing out on the final through suspension – we discuss why the GAA has the face guard rule, and why justice in an All-Ireland semi-final is often pretty hard to find.
Derval O’Rourke joins us to talk about Mo Farah and Usain Bolt’s anti-climactic, controversial career finales at the World Championships in London, and Ireland’s terrible performance.
