Chris Mosier represented his country in the sprint race at the World Duathlon Championships in 2016, and in the process became the first transgender athlete to make a US men’s national team.

He’s the first transgender athlete we’ve had on the show, and he tells us about life since he transitioned back in 2010, appearing on Nike ads and in ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue, and the atmosphere in America for transgender people today in light of President Trump’s regressive attitudes to their community.

We also talk about the first Irishman to play in Major League Baseball in 73 years – and the shameful story of the last guy to play in the ‘bigs’; the Early Theorem gets another airing, and Ken gets schooled by the hard-nuts over on tennis Twitter.
