Episode 1292: Munster Mettle, Electric Leinster, Ken Vs Joe Brolly On UFC, God Is Watching
European Rugby is back, and it was an excellent week for the Irish provinces, as Leinster and Ulster both won against English opposition, and Munster came out of Exeter with a doughty draw.
James Lowe on Tadhg Furlong:
“Tadhg’s bloody show-and-go then the one-handed pass; that’s special.
“I don’t think there’s many front rowers who could do that in the world. He’s a special human on and off the field.” pic.twitter.com/Sqc4C39I3S

“It’s a great example to any young kid of perseverance.”
“For a guy that gets abused all around the country, it’s nice he has his day in the sun.”

Joe Brolly has called for the UFC to be banned, and Ken can’t believe that he’s talking about the Ultimate Fighting Championship and not the Ulster Football Championship. Plus there’s Gabriel Batistuta, Rui Costa, li’l US Murph’s photographic memory, and Django Unchained.
We’re saddened to hear about the passing of commentator Peter Brackley, one of the evocative voices of @channel4‘s Football Italia coverage in the 1990s.
