Episode 1515: Cork/Kilkenny, Stepford Wives, Donal Óg And Shefflin, Michael Jordan Spite, John Horan On Cork Dual Fans
There are few bigger or better rivalries in Irish sport than Cork and Kilkenny, but the start of this century saw relationships between the two take a serious turn.
It was Donal Óg Cusack’s book that told the tale, while simultaneously pouring petrol on it – and we have Michael Duignan and Sky Sports’ Damian Lawlor to tell us what made that rivalry so poisonous, and who they think can win this latest instalment, which has so few survivors from that time.
There’s also Laois against Tipp, and why Tipperary are possibly the worst team Eddie Brennan’s side could be facing right now.
We have further news from GAA President John Horan, as he casually dismisses the Cork dual fan, while expressing his delight at being able to provide the Dublin football fan with the exact throw-in time he feels they deserve.
