Episode 1695: Clifford’s Red Card, Galway’s Resurgence, Dublin’s Worst Half Of Football Since 2011, Referees Under Scrutiny – Football League Shenanigans Aplenty
It seems every single game in Division 1 of the football league has gone down to the wire this year – and after another weekend which featured 1 draw and 3 games decided by just a point, Oisin McConville and former Galway legend Sean Armstrong give us their thoughts.
David Clifford’s red card highlights once again referees taking the easy way out, while elsewhere their time-keeping comes under scrutiny. Galway want to win, but they want to win with style, say our two Galwaymen, and the Dubs were absolutely awful (for 60 minutes, and yet still drew).
Plus there’s Ken’s surprisingly energetic role-playing, over-wrought 1960s movie trailers… and we get called gloom merchants by a scumbag.
